Swing REHAB

Before

When we bought our house there were a lot of things that needed to be updated and fixed up. And the backyard was no exception... The house came with this unsightly swing and immediately my husband wanted to throw it out. He was literally calling for a truck to come haul it to the dumpster the day we closed on the house. I snatched the phone out of his hands and told him we could fix it. He looked at me like I was crazy. I know it did look gross and "pitiful" as he put it, but it was still salvageable.
A quick trip to Lowe's could do the trick. I bought a sandpaper block, rust proof- resistant black high gloss paint and some new swing cushions. Voila!!! Much cheaper than having it hauled away and buying a brand new one.
After
The whole project took one day. I sanded the whole swing focusing on the rusted areas. Then I wiped the whole thing down with a wet cloth. After it dried I painted it and once the paint dried I put on the new cushions. Easy Peasy... and still super comfy...
